dinru replied to your post: oh and i always run and sometimes walk on my tip…

You are much better equipped to wear heels than most!

REALLY??? Oh my god, that was the worst thing and I’m never doing it again.

Meh. Wearing heels is different from walking on your toes because then there’s a thing pushing your feet up instead of just doing it naturally.

i’m guessing there was a newspost but i missed it so… can someone tell me how long aywas will be down? and if it’s past midnight, will our xero scores be preserved? i’m at 20,550 (i think yesterday that’s what i got) and i don’t want to lose it =(

For at least a day, I think. And our Xero scores and login streaks will all be safe.

whew. thank you! i’ve just been logging in for xero lately so i didn’t see the newspost (i’m guessing there was one)

Yeah. Transethnic/transabled make me feel massively uncomfortable.

Ah well I’m sure I’ll change the structure of my brain for your comfort. Can’t have my neurological disorder making you uncomfortable.

I’ll just get right on that.

even if they’re also multiple,

even if they’re also otherkin,

even if they’re also transabled,

you are not an ally.

No fuck that.
Transabled trivializes the hardships of actual disabled people and I won’t be an ally to that.
Just like I won’t be an ally to transethnic because it trivializes the hardships and histories of different races and colors.
Hell no, I don’t support those kinds of “trans feelings”.

It is not the same fucking thing as transgender, you cannot simply group them all together and say they are they same and say to people “You’re not an ally if you don’t also support these”.

That statement is rather ad hominem.

I totally didn’t see the mention of transabled when I reblogged this at first. Oops. Wow I fucking suck. That’s what I get for reblogging shit late at night.

But yeah, I totally agree with Wiseman here.

no see THAT’S THE POINT.

Trans peoples’ experiences don’t exist for you and it’s not appropriate for you to pick and choose which ones are legitimate.

I’m not grouping them all together or saying they’re all the same.

But I am, as a hormonally transitioned trans person, (and, for the record, an ~actually disabled~ person — I have severe psychiatric and developmental disabilities) saying that if you invalidate the experiences of people like me, or people who have been my friends and allies for far longer and in far more substantial ways than you have, and if in doing so you exacerbate animosity between my communities and other marginalized communities that I feel strongly should not exist, your relationship to me is one of an antagonist, not an ally.

Look. This IS my struggle and has been my struggle for increasingly close to half my life now. To move beyond an increasingly narrow single-issue identity politics into a more intersectional analysis where diversity is accepted, strived for, and celebrated.

If you dedicate any effort whatsoever into hindering my ability to do that, for any reason, you aren’t my ally. Whatsoever.

(that was a tangent.

the original post? Was about trans people who are also multiple/nonhuman/transabled.)

But privileged people are the ones who get to determine if they’re your allies or not, not you! They know what’s best for you, obviously.

A transabled person cannot also be a disabled person? Since when?

Also, how exactly does it trivialize the hardships of actual disabled people?
