Not all people with BIID do that. The people who desire amputations seem to be more likely to do that because it’s more likely to work. Spinal cord injuries are more complicated than that, and jumping in front of a car is more likely to kill me than to break my spine. (even less likely if you consider that I don’t want to be quadriplegic)
